The forward has said ‘it will be difficult’ for the Red Devils to challenge for the Premier League and Champions League.
In the fire Manager of Manchester United Erik ten Hag dismissed Cristiano Ronaldo's criticism of his desire, saying he is unaffected by outside noise.
After the Portuguese forward made several noteworthy remarks in an interview, his second stint at Old Trafford came to an abrupt end in November 2022.
Ten Hag was among many who criticized him. Now, the 39-year-old has aimed at his former manager once more, claiming a United manager cannot acknowledge that the team is still a long way from winning the Premier League and Champions League.

The Al-Nassr star himself stated that it "will be difficult" for the Red Devils to overcome on the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast, but the Dutchman seemed unaffected by the Portuguese's most recent comments.
"He said that Manchester United can't win the Premier League," Ten Hag stated. If you carefully read the paper, you will see what he said.
"So, he's in Saudi Arabia, a long way from Manchester. Everyone is free to express their opinions. It's alright.
Ronaldo's interview has increased the commotion around Ten Hag and his squad during the international break, which came after Liverpool humiliated them 3-0 at home after a late 2-1 loss at Brighton.
On Saturday lunchtime, United traveled to promote Southampton to avoid losing three straight Premier League games for the first time since December 2015.
Moreover, since 1986–87, the 20-time English winners have won three of their first four games.
Ten Hag remarked, "We'll see where we are in May of next year." "The goal is to win trophies, rank as high in the league as possible, and exert every effort to win every game even though the season is still very early.
"Then we will see where we are in May and then judge."
When asked if the commotion around United affects him, Ten Hag responded, "No, it doesn't." I am aware of our current position in the process, our goals, and what has to be done.
As I've mentioned previously, we're currently in a transitional phase. Numerous young players must be incorporated into the team as well.
"We still have injuries; injured players need to return to the team."

"We have to win every game, no matter who thinks of an excuse.
"No matter who is available, the team and I are aware of this. We'll concentrate on each game and approach each one with the expectation of victory."
Southampton is one of just two top-flight teams without a victory this season, and United has not lost in their previous 12 Premier League visits to Southampton.
Tyrell Malacia, Leny Yoro, and Mason Mount are not participating in the St. Mary's game, and Victor Lindelof has been sidelined due to a toe injury.

With hamstring and calf issues, respectively, Luke Shaw and Rasmus Hojlund are still sidelined, but Manuel Ugarte, a recent addition, might make his debut.
"Rasmus Hojlund and Luke Shaw are progressing very well but (are) not ready for this game," Ten Hag stated.
"I believe everyone has watched Manuel Ugarte play for Uruguay. He was the only player to return today; he did so this afternoon. He is eligible for this game since yesterday all the other players returned."
