I have been informed that scoring in front of the Stretford End is among the most exhilarating experiences for a United player, and I feel both grateful and fortunate to have had the opportunity to do so in my debut match. The sensation is truly remarkable. We secured the victory, which was our primary objective and something the fans rightfully deserved; thus, to have this additional moment is simply wonderful. It is difficult to articulate the emotion; it is genuinely delightful. This is an exceptional team, and we aspire to accomplish something significant. The journey has been incredible and feels like a dream, and I am approaching each day with dedication and hard work.

Zirkzee, who was acquired from Bologna, was introduced as part of a double substitution alongside Garnacho shortly after the hour mark. His goal offers manager Erik ten Hag – who remains in his position following the FA Cup victory against Manchester City – an ideal beginning to his third season at the helm. "When I inquired about what my compatriot advised me before my debut, Zirkzee remarked, 'The manager instructed me to inject energy and assist the team to the best of my ability.' "He hasn't provided me with any specific instructions. Manchester is a prestigious club, and I am determined to give my utmost effort; that is my objective. The atmosphere is entirely positive."
