Wales earned their first victory under new manager Craig Bellamy with a hard-fought 2-1 win against Montenegro in a dramatic Nations League clash in Niksic. On a rain-soaked evening, Kieffer Moore and Harry Wilson gave Wales a lightning-fast start, securing a vital three points.
Moore struck just 37 seconds into the match, registering Wales' fastest goal since 2003 and breaking their four-game goal drought—their longest since 2012. Wilson quickly doubled the lead, netting a stunning 25-yard strike past Montenegro's goalkeeper Milan Mijatovic to give Wales a 2-0 advantage inside the first three minutes.
Despite their early lead, Wales faced relentless pressure from Montenegro. The hosts, led by former Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic, pushed hard for a comeback.
